There are several popular reddit stocks. From Reddit GME to AMC and everything in-between. Reddit and wallstreetbets have been a growing source for stock discussions over the past year. There are also several subreddits dedicated to specific stocks. In this analysis we are going to look at CCIV, a popular stock on Reddit and a CCIV Reddit community dedicated to CCIV and LCID (Lucid Motors) investors.
We will provide an overview of why the Reddit CCIV stock community is strong and briefly discuss the popularity of the CCIV StockTwits and LCID StockTwits following. We will also highlight stock price predictions and information for Lucid Motors. We will also provide a brief overview of CCIV and LCID, if you haven't heard of the stock before, and why it might be a decent stock to add to your portfolio.
Reddit r/CCIV is a community for Churchill Capital Corp IV stock, price, and diligence. Source is here
There are about 45,000 members of the r/CCIV reddit community. This subreddit is dedicated to the CCIV stock. Community engagement is quite strong with an active daily thread discussing the CCIV stock price and trading price, as well as several links to CCIV due diligence and stock analysis.
I would give the r/CCIV community a quality score of 7/10 because they provide strong content about CCIV and Lucid Motors. They also mix in interesting images of the Lucid Motors vehicles and other discussion. What will be interesting to see is if the r/CCIV community will move to a new r/LCID community because of the change in ticker symbol. As of now the Reddit LCIS stock community has about 1,000 members.
In January 2021 CCIV Stock was trading at $10/share, which is normal for a SPAC. In February of 2021 the price went up almost 6x and reached all time high of $28 per share. CCIV was discussed heavily on Reddit in February and has since died down. The community grow rapidly in early 2021 and has remained strong through the price spike and drop.
It is important to note that a lot of subreddits dedicated to stocks don't allow people to post content about SPACs. This would impact the ability for CCIV to trend on Reddit due to being limited to the CCIV subreddit
In the last few months, we have seen CCIV reach the top 5 trending on Reddit. This is impressive because CCIV stock is not allows on wallstreetbets, since it is a SPAC> What will be interesting to see is the change in posting on wallstreetbets under the ticker LCID - cine it is now a stock and no longer a SPAC.
There are 155,000 people who follow CCIV StockTwits. This is a medium/large sized following based on other stocks on StockTwits.
There are 5,000 people following LCID StockTwits - which is a lot less than the current CCIV stock following. WE will likely see this community grow as people move from the CCIV StockTwits page to the CCIV StockTwits page
Stockholders voted and approved the business combination of CCIV with Lucid Motors.
CCIV Stock listed on NYSE will become LCID Stock listed on NASDAQ as of July 26, 2021. Press release can be found here
