Popular Reddit Stocks – MVIS Reddit Community and Stock Analysis

There are several popular Reddit stocks. From GME to AMC and everything in-between. Reddit and wallstreetbets have been a growing source for stock discussions in 2020 and 2021. There are also several subreddits dedicated to specific stocks. In this analysis we are going to look at MVIS, a popular stock on Reddit with a MVIS reddit community dedicated to MVIS investors. Reddit MVIS Stock Community Overview and Insights Reddit r/mvis is a community for MicroVision stock, price, and diligence. Source is here There are about 41,000 members of the r/mvis reddit community. This subreddit is dedicated to the MVIS stock. Community engagement is quite strong with a highly active daily thread discussing the MVIS stock price. The MVIS Reddit community also has several links to MVIS due diligence and stock analysis. I would give the r/mvis community a quality score of 7/10 because they don’t have a lot of spam, they share interesting and relevant content, and have an actively engaged community. In July 2020 MVIS Stock was trading just under $2/share. In December of 2020 the price went up 5x and most recently the stock reached a all time high of $28 per share. MVIS was discussed on reddit early on in 2020 and the community size was relatively small back then. Redditors were providing price predictions and touting MVIS as the next best stock – and they were right. Recently MVIS has fallen off the most popular and trending Reddit stocks list on but that might not be a bad thing. Sometimes when stocks become “meme” stocks, they experience a rapid price increase, followed by a sharp decline. This was the case with MVIS price history but if you look closer at the analyses MVIS might still be considered undervalued. MVIS StockTwits There are 85,000 people who follow MVIS StockTwits. This is a medium sized following relative to other stocks on StockTwits. StockTwits is not the best source of quality investment information but is good to use a proxy to see how many retail investors are following MVIS or have bought MVIS stock. Based on these insights we can see that several people sense that MVIS stock price target is somewhere around $36 per share. The quality of content and insights is quite high. I would classify MVIS as a Reddit stock that received a notoriety in late 2020 with a rapid spike in price, however I would not classify MVIS as a “meme’” stock.
