Popular Reddit Stocks - PLTR Reddit Community and Stock Analysis

In today’s sentiment analysis, we will be taking a look at $PLTR – Palantir Technology and their online community of investors. This report will include an overview of the PLTR stock discussions on both Stocktwits and Reddit, as well as give a 2025 price target for the PLTR stock. After a fantastic Q2 2021 earnings report, the online chat volume pertaining to Palantir (and their earnings report) has been surging over the past couple of days. As a result, we have decided to take a deeper look into their community and their stock. PLTR Stock Forum and Discussion Overview: PLTR Reddit: Reddit’s r/PLTR is a community Palantir’s stock, price, and diligence. This subreddit currently has 38,000 members: The PLTR reddit forum is quite a large subreddit for an individual stock, and their community is very active. There is a lot of memes, news, and smaller posts on this subreddit, however, if you dig far enough, you can find some very detailed due diligence. Currently, there are many high-quality posts about their earnings and some very interesting discussions, so I would advise you to take a look and see what they are saying. The Price has been very Volatile over the past 8 months: Palantir’s stock shot up to $45 during the OG $GME - GameStop pump in late January, however their stock fell over 50% between February and May. The stock then gained 50% between May and July and since fell 20% (before earnings were released). This volatility has caused both excitement and panic in their retail community. However, during the ups and downs, the PLTR Reddit community stayed strong and continue to post quality content and remain optimistic (for the most part).’ Overall, the PLTR reddit community is active, approachable, and generally quite knowledgeable. As a result of this I would rate their reddit community an 8.5/10. PLTR Stocktwits: There is a PLTR Stock forum on Stocktwits where member of the board can send Twitter like messages/pictures in. The PLTR chat board has 176,000 members: This is a very largely followed stock discussion, when comparing it to the other stock chat boards that are available on Stocktwits. Overall, majority of the posts on Stocktwits lack quality and are speculative/misinformative, however there are some good posts (you just have to have a good BS detector). The PLTR Stocktwits forum gives a good proxy for the overall retail sentiment. The daily message volume is 12K: Yesterday there were over 12k messages posted to the PLTR stock forum. This is a large number of posts that you would have to sift through in order to find the more quality posts. Overall, I would rate the PLTR Stocktwits forum a 4/10 due to the fact that there is a lot of garbage that you have to sift through in order to find good content. Summary of PLTR Stock: The PLTR Reddit and Stocktwits forums are relatively large when comparing them to other individual stock communities. The quality of posts on these sites is high, however due to their size, you might need to sift through the content more efficiently in order to find these posts. Palantir is considered a “Reddit Stock” or “Reddit’s darling”, however, if you take the time to understand their business and see their TAM and future potential, it is so much more than people give it credit for.
