Popular Reddit Stocks - Tesla Reddit Community and Stock Analysis

TSLA Social Media Overview: TSLA Reddit: The r/TSLA subreddit is essentially a TSLA stock discussion on Reddit that talks about TSLA stock, price, and diligence. The TSLA Reddit page has 8,300 members: The TSLA Reddit is rather small for such a hyped “internet” stock. The community is not very engaged (only 13 people are active at the time of writing this), however there are frequent posts about TSLA news, information, memes, alongside some due diligence posts. As of writing this, r/TSLA has 13 active users: This is a very small number of active users and does not come close to comparing with some of the other popular single stock subreddits. I would like to see a more active Tesla community; however I am stuck with this. Overall, the TSLA reddit community does not seem very active and some of the recent posts are of lower quality, as a result of all of this, I would rate the TSLA reddit community a 5/10. TSLA Stocktwits: There is a TSLA Stock Forum on Stocktwits, where the members of the TSLA board can post messages and pictures. The TSLA stock forum has 707K members: TSLA is a largely followed stock discussion, when comparing it to the other stock chat boards on Stocktwits. Personally, I find it very hard to keep up with the massive amounts of posts that are coming into the forum. Most of the posts on their forum do not provide much knowledge and are essentially just “noise” however there are some higher quality posts that you have to dig for. Daily message volume is between 10-20K: The TSLA Stocktwits community is very active, bolstering 13k messages posts as of 2pm today. The TSLA Stocktwits community is very active and posts frequently, however it is hard to find quality posts. Overall, the TSLA Stocktwits community is large and very active, however it is hard to find quality information about their stock.  Find the TSLA Stocktwits forum to be it better than the subreddit due to the amount of activity, and this has led me to rating the TSLA Stocktwits chat a 7/10. TSLA Price and Forecast: Information pertaining to TSLA price, performance, historical performance, and financials can be found on Utradea’s TSLA Stock Page. In terms of a price target for TSLA, I have decided to take a price target from WallStreetWhale’s analysis (Utradea User), found here. I have decided to go ahead and use the price target that she arrived at, due to that fact that I am in agreeance with her valuation methods. This price target is $580/share, find out why in their article (linked above). Summary of TSLA Stock and Community: The TSLA subreddit is very deceiving, as they do not have a large community, and they are not terribly active. However, where the TSLA subreddit lacks, their Stocktwits page makes up for. Overall, I think that the TSLA community could be a bit better as it tends to be hard to find high quality posts//analysis. Overall, I would rate the TSLA online community a 6/10.
