As we have seen over the past couple of years, there were a good handful of "Social Sentiment Stocks" like GME and AMC that skyrocketed based almost solely off of social sentiment. As a result of this, many people have started to pay attention to the social sentiment behind stocks.
Out of the several Spirit Airlines, Inc. (SAVE) stock discussion available to for investors to share their opinions and discuss their favourite stocks, there are 2 stock discussion forums that influence SAVE's social sentiment more than any others. These 2 stock discussion forums include SAVE Stocktwits and SAVE Twitter.
The Utradea Social Sentiment Dashboard allows you to track real-time trends and insights for Spirit Airlines, Inc. discussions and Spirit Airlines, Inc. conversations.
Here are the latest analytics from the SAVE Stocktwits forum (over the last 24hrs):
The social senitment in the SAVE Stocktwits community is up across the board. This is linked to the fact that the Spirit Airlines released multiple SEC filings this morning regarding their merger with either JBLU or ULCC. Overall, it seems as though SAVE is leaning toward merging with ULCC after ULCC just increased their offer by over $4 per share. If you would like to continue reading about this, you can do so here. Although their sentiment is trending upwards, their stock price is trading down by 8% in the premarkets (as the JetBlue offer was at a higher per share price)
Here are the latest analytics from the SAVE Twitter communiy (over the last 24hrs):
Overall, the growth in sentiment in the SAVE Twitter community looks very similar to the growth in sentiment in the SAVE stockwits community. This makes sense as the reason behind this growth is merger news. The SAVE Twitter community has roughly the same amount of posting volume as the SAVE Stocktwits community, however, the SAVE Twitter community fetches about 2x the amount of impressions.
Here is a count of “whale” accounts that are acitve on SAVE Twitter (over the past 72 hrs):
These whale accounts are very good for stocks as they are able to generate a large amount of impressions for their stock. These increased impressions can help with stock awareness and stock recognition, which can be good in the short and long-term for the SAVE stock. I believe the reason that the SAVE Twitter community is able to fetch 2x the amount of impressions despite the same level of posting is becasue the impact that these whale accounts have, especially this one (with 500k+ followers)
Overall, investors are very active on the SAVE Stocktwits and SAVE Twitter Forum. Being able to quickly gain insights into a stocks social sentiment has proven to be beneficial for modern investors. We suggest getting familiar with the Utradea Social Sentiment Dashboard, as it is a quick way to stay up-to date with social sentiment across a wide variety of stocks.
