As we have seen over the past couple of years, there were a good handful of "Social Sentiment Stocks" like GME and AMC that skyrocketed based almost solely off of social sentiment. As a result of this, many people have started to pay attention to the social sentiment behind stocks.
Out of the several Zendesk, Inc. (ZEN) stock discussion available to for investors to share their opinions and discuss their favourite stocks, there are 2 stock discussion forums that influence ZEN's social sentiment more than any others. These 2 stock discussion forums include ZEN Stocktwits and ZEN Twitter. However, we are having an error in pulling the ZEN Stocktwits data, so just having the ZEN Twitter analysis will have to do for now.
The Utradea Social Sentiment Dashboard allows you to track real-time trends and insights for Zendesk, Inc. discussions and Zendesk, Inc. conversations.
Here are the latest analytics from the ZEN Twitter community (over the last 24hrs):
Overall, the social sentiment in the ZEN Twitter community is exploding as the news has broke that they are in talks about a potential buyout. The size of the deal is unknown, but Zendesk reportedly turned down a $16 billion offer back in February. Zendesk's market value is now hovering at about $7 billion as part of a broader market selloff this year. Assuming this deal is for $16B (at lowest I would assume. Their share price for the acquisition would be $132/share. Immediately after these rumors started to circulate, the ZEN stock shot up over 50%, and is trading over $86/share (at the time of writing this).
Here is a count of “whale” accounts that are active on ZEN Twitter (over the past 72 hrs):
