Hello. I'm here to make my next prediction! (original prediction)
Unlike the Affirm situation, however, I do not know when these redirects were set up. For all I know, they could have been unnoticed for years and be a relic of some abandoned idea.
The word “Redfin” appears in the search bar of the page you instantly get redirected from. On an iPad I was able to access the empty page. It isn't particularly telling though. Affirm's page literally said “Pay Over Time with Affirm” in the search bar.
What I think could happen: It looks like Amazon has tested the waters with its TurnKey endeavors and they're ready to make a bigger foray into the housing market. I have no clue what that entails, but I think an acquisition of Redfin seems more likely than a partnership. This is not the first time this idea has been floated (tbh I haven't even read the article cuz it has some pay wall lol but you get the point)
Even if my prediction ends up being correct again, I have no clue what the timeline on something like this would be. Housing seems like a logistical nightmare unlike Affirm integration. Could be years. So.. don't go buying weekly call options because you read something dumb on reddit. However, if I am wrong, I still think Redfin is a solid company with massive upside so I'm not worried.
Honorable mention: amazon.com/cvs, however, there is no node ID and CVS supposedly rejected Amazon earlier this year. Wouldn't count on this one.
Ok that is all. Back to my cave :)
(I had some explanatory screenshots in here but they were getting my post removed, so I'll work on adding them after work)
