Disney Plus is launching in Japan on June 11. That comes through a partnership with DoCoMo which will offer sign-ups at its shops (though new subscribers won't need to be a DoCoMo customer). The streaming service will cost ¥700 per month - about $6.50 - though users of DoCoMo's existing Disney Deluxe partnership offering will be able to use Disney Plus at no extra cost.
Disney plans to expand into the following markets over the next year
Brazil - November 2020
Latin America - End 2020
Eastern Europe - 2021
Asia-Pacific – 2021
This expansion will increase the companies core revenue streams as more users look to online streaming services during the lockdown.
